Here is another design idea I had. Let me know what you think and if you like it I will make it much more detailed. I am also working on a design with elements from the ninja sphere.
Thanks,
Jake

I made the design alot smaller and more detailed. The iPhone in the renderings are just for size comparison. I also attached iges and stl files.

Hi,
I added screw holes, 4 IR LEDS, RGB LED, a place for the power connector and I made few other changes. Let me know if something is not right or if you want something changed. I am more than willing to do revisions after the contest has ended.
Thanks,
Jake

Hello,
Here is a very rough draft of my design. Could you let me know what you think of the general shape and idea. If you are interested in it I can go ahead and make it more detailed. Also note that there are more images in the attached .zip file. I look forward to hearing back from you.
Thanks,
Jake

Hi Jnatzic,
You are welcome.
Can you please look at ninja sphere casing at the link below and see if you can work on these lines?
http://www.ninjablocks.com/pages/home
You can also look at TP link product below and work something like this if you like this more:
http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/details/?model=TL-WR720N

You have board configurations as follow in this case:
Raspberry Pi the bottom most board, our RF board as second board and then camera would go probably at the top in the center facing horizontally. May be you will go out of our provided height dimensions but still acceptable.
If you are not interested in this style, This is just to help you with what we have in our mind but you can still go with your imaginations.
Let us know what you think?
Thanks

Hi Jnatzic,
Thanks for your effort. Few comments:
- If you look at the over all dimensions we provided, SD card should totally be inside the casing with just an open slot to take it out or replace it if required. I guess you just based on Raspberry Pi board t this stage.
- Also there would be a WiFi USB dongle plugged into the USB connector near RJ45/ethernet connector and it should be totally within the casing if we use internal antenna, for the dimensions we provided. For external antenna, just connector would be outside with an option to open the hole and bring connector. By default casing would be closed at this end.
-If this casing is sitting on a table or even at a wall Raspberry Pi seems to be on the top side of the RF board with all the antennas on the board underneath, concern is that it will effect the RF range.
- With totally circular shape the connectors on the side of Raspberry Pi are too far inside the casing for access in future. theses should be near the edge of the casing for easy opening in future. May be you need to play with the shape here from the side
- If the product is sitting on the table , camera seems to be looking at 45 to 60 degrees towards the ceiling, which will not be able to view the room.
Please feel free to ask questions.
Thanks
