:))) Thank you for your confidence.
For now I work in the industry of automotive batteries (R&D), and I know to program in Visual FoxPro - doing a big project, that I must finish in march...that takes me almost all the time.
I started the freelancer thing for 1 and half week :D and now I am searching for bigger and bigger projects :D
I like to but my brains at work, but also to get payed for that :P
Molding, cutting, machining, bending, assembling, drawing the parts and assembly steps - those I like to do the most, as a designer, of course :D
What's your main business activity object?

I forgot: the distance between the miner's screw can't be 72.5 mm because the external diameter, is 90 mm (as you mentioned on the requirement of the project ;)

To understand my detail attention: I was a Cooling system designer :)
I will collaborate with you through your personal e-mail, but the final release, I will attach on cadcrowd: stp/igx/x_t files, as you need: I guess stp/igs for laser cut and bending ;)

I attached you the last update of the project, but only PDFs.
This is how I use to work: send all drawings the client needs.
If you check the PDF with 4 sheets, you can see I have put some question marks: those are dimension I need to now further.

Hello,

If it's a laser cut technology you are using, then I have some experience in it :)
Are you using table or other material?
I'd like to keep the long struts for the upper plate, because I want to make it possible to stick 2 or 3 machines, one on top of each-other, in case someone orders more...with other words, I'd like to make it modular: to be easy to assembly by the buyer, to be easy to manufacture, and to be easy to stick 2 or 3 together ;)
I will attach later the 3D model and I will attach also a drawing with the exploded view and a bill of materials, so you can see it ;)

No worries bro, you have a great chance at this. I am increasing the rewards to include a second and third prize. So it will be $200, $100, $50 - most likely based on the complexity of the design and how likely we are to produce it.

After giving your design submission number 8 an overview with my partner we would like to see a couple refinements. How you made the top plate connect to the bottom plate with long struts - can you change this to short struts coming from the second level plate to the top level plate?

Secondly the bottom plate could be smaller perhaps with some more details added?

I will have additional information on the exact size of the components and thickness of materials used later this week. The manufacturing may take place in a laser cutting facility, faster and cleaner cuts than on waterjet.

I noticed that you told jnatzic that you'll buy his design no mater who else send you design.
I'd like to know if you'll do that, cause I don't like to loose time working on something that won't have a chance at least.

I like what you want to do, and I gladly can upgrade my designs as you need, as long as they have a chance :D
Next upgrade, will have all the screws and fixing plates for the 2 x power supplies and 1 x USB Hub, so you'll be able to see how I think of mounting them, fixing them and what I think of using, but only if it worth it :)
If you plan making the plates from aluminium, you could use a 1.5-2.5 mm table...it will have the hardness necessary to keep the 5 x calculators per level (I can make a strength simulation for this and send it to you).

Hello!

Very nice design. Can you make a flat version of the strut that can be cut with the waterjet as well? Reference the other designer's submission, number 4, 0.25 inch thick. We will have the part finished at the cnc shop for the screw holes.

Another thing we would like to see done is an adjustment to the middle plate, turn it so the points of the shape no longer align with the top and bottom layers. This should make it look more interesting and futuristic.

Lastly, in the final render can you stack 3 complete units on top of each other with additional struts? Our buyers have an interest in a stacking design to further save shelf space.
