No custom mechanism, using a miniature slide switch (http://www.cwind.com/pdf/Micro-Miniature-Slide-Switches-S2120_IV_06.pdf)
Dimensions: 44 (length) x16,2 (width) x 9mm (height)
Tact Switch/Slide Switch to be glued to the box,
Cover to be fixed with 3mm screw.
Can be attached to a key ring or necklace.

So, there are 2 designs, one with a mechanism with a tactile button that is pressed when a plastic slide (that should be printed too) is moved. These picture may help you understand it :

The other design works with a standard slide switch, like the ones in this catalog:

There are no exposed components. In the picture I've hidden the cover, here is a picture with the cover:

The hole you see in this picture is for the screw. The cover is slightly different between the designs, for the electronic slide switch is a little bit wider than my mechanism.

Hi Federico,

Could you provide me with further details as to how your design works exactly? From the picture it looks like some components are exposed, what exactly are those? How do the electronics get activated? What is your mechanism?
