When the display is mounted on top of the car, the car is stationary or on the move?
How fast?
And anyway, when mounted outdoors, the display must be IP67 watertight?

Hi,

I would like to you to clarify the purpose here. From my understanding, the display is outside on top of a car or bus or lorry for advertisement purpose and such. And if such is the case, then you have to account for safety. I believe you need a bigger magnet to hold the case in place in an event of a crash, else it is going to fly into something. So it would be nice if you have done the size calculation for magnet, based on weight of assembly and speed estimate. Or would you like us to do that ?

May i know the diameter of the hole (LED hole) and is it going to be a one sided display or display on both the sides.

The contest is only for the case itself is that correct?. Are you supplying the electronics package? What is the pitch between each LED and diameter of hole. Are they all mounted on a circuit board and back panel?

I suggest you to produce this by sheet metal(Aluminium for example),the laser cutting technology and good knowledge in sheet metal design will allow a very nice ,endurance and cheap solution(compare to milling or 3d printing).I have questions
1)you want housing for display that will mount on the top of the vehicles?
2)Will it exposed to open air conditions(rain,sun,snow low and high temperature)
3)Do you have in mind (some sketches ) what it will be look like your design
