Wingback Chair Frame CAD Design & Manufacturing Documentation
Developed a complete CAD design and production documentation package for a custom wingback chair frame based on client reference images. The project included 3D modeling, dimensioned manufacturing drawings, full size cutting templates for curved components, a cut and hardware list, and a visual assembly guide.
The frame was modelled in Autodesk Fusion 360 and every drawing was generated from that model, so the elevations, the cut list and the full size templates all agree with each other. The set covers the solid oak carcase: side, front and rear elevations, shaped part profiles for the curved side panels, arm posts and crest rail, a joinery and dowel schedule with the hardware list, and an exploded assembly guide.
Delivered as PDF drawings, a spreadsheet cut list, printable 1:1 templates, and Fusion 360 and STEP models. Designed for a client on Cad Crowd and published with his permission.
The same approach suits any furniture or joinery project that has to be built from a drawing rather than a render: bedroom and living room furniture, built-in cabinetry and wardrobes, and one-off pieces where the workshop needs panel sizes, joinery positions and templates it can print and trace.
