VOLTUM XL-1 – Parking Permit Plate with Integrated Contact Holder

VOLTUM XL-1 is a parking permit plate designed to solve common issues with glued permit stickers: residue, poor visibility, and difficult repositioning. I led the full product from opportunity framing to mass production: - Defined the problem around traditional glued permit plates - Set the PC plate and suction-cup architecture to avoid residue on glass - Designed a snap-fit number rail for quick contact-number changes - Developed 3D CAD with DFM in mind (wall thickness, draft, undercuts) - Built and tested prototypes in real vehicles for vibration and visibility - Coordinated tooling and molding with Korean vendors until production was stable The result is a compact, easy-to-install plate that integrates well with modern interiors and is currently mass-produced under the VOLTUM brand.
