VOLTUM N Series - Vent-Mounted Phone Holder Platform

The VOLTUM N1/N2-Series is a family of vent-mounted smartphone holders designed as a shared platform with different feature levels. Key contributions: - Defined a common platform around a one-touch expansion mechanism and detent spring vent clip - Designed N1 as a minimal, low-profile base SKU with a compact footprint - Designed N2 as a higher-end SKU with added grip supporters and stronger support - Extended the platform into the E-Series with refined geometry and stability - Owned mechanism design, 3D CAD development, and in-vehicle validation - Worked with molding and assembly vendors to stabilize production and reduce variation This project demonstrates series-level thinking, compact injection-molded assemblies, and practical DFM for small mechanisms used in real driving conditions.
