Hi everyone! 👋 I’m excited to share another step in my mechanical design journey. As I continue developing my skills in my CAD drafting vocational program, I just finished my second 2D drawing project using Autodesk Inventor: a V-Belt Pulley! For those who might not be familiar, a pulley is like a wheel with a groove that holds a belt to help machines move or transfer power. ⚙️ In this project, I practiced making the 3D model and translating it into a standard 2D technical drawing. A fun new challenge for me here was using a Section View (the A-A cut) to clearly show the inner details, like the center bore and the keyway, so they can be properly dimensioned for the manufacturing process. I am still a beginner and realize I have so much more to learn in this field.
