Upholstered lounge armchair: quad model with cloth-simulated folds

A sample made for a furniture modelling job where the client works in 3ds Max: a tailored lounge armchair, about 859 x 886 x 892 mm, seat height about 450 mm, with a box seat cushion, a box back cushion, piping and a velvet throw pillow. How it was made: - every cushion and upholstery panel is a clean all-quad cage, with extra loops only where the folds are (corners, piping, contact areas); - the folds are simulated with Blender's cloth solver on that same cage (filling pressure, contracting piping seams, gravity, the throw pillow pressing into the back cushion), not sculpted, so no retopology is needed; - the FBX cage behaves the same under 3ds Max TurboSmooth: Catmull-Clark, all quads, no creases; - sewing-pattern UVs for the 6 upholstered parts, checked with a 5 cm checker; - tapered oak legs, wool-poly herringbone fabric. Images: the render, a close-up of the seat-cushion corner, and a sheet with the wireframe, the close-up wire, the checker and the cushion UV patterns.
