Transfer die design

This portfolio work presents the complete structural design of a multi-station transfer stamping die for automotive sheet metal components, fully modeled, assembled and validated in UG NX. Arranged with sequential working stations along the transfer direction, the die integrates key stamping processes including drawing, trimming, piercing and sizing. It is fitted with a through-type mechanical transfer feeder system to achieve precise automated part handling between stations, ideal for high-volume automated production of sheet metal parts with complex curved surfaces. The die structure features precision guide pillar & bushing units, nitrogen spring blankholding and stripping mechanisms, as well as standardized die shoes with locating assemblies, ensuring forming accuracy and operational reliability in mass manufacturing. Interference checking, load verification and press compatibility analysis were all completed in the design phase. The visuals include top views of the lower and upper die assemblies, plus a side sectional view of the die in closed state, fully demonstrating the station layout, transfer system arrangement and overall assembly architecture. 更多更多
