Smart Vehicle Interface PCB – CAN, LIN,K-Line &BLE

This project involves the complete design of an automotive OBD-II diagnostic PCB based on an STM32 microcontroller. The goal was to develop a reliable and industrial-grade board capable of interfacing with vehicle networks including CAN, LIN, and K-Line, while also integrating USB and BLE connectivity. I designed the full schematic and PCB layout, including power management (12V automotive input, protection, buck converter, and LDO), dual CAN-FD transceivers, LIN and K-Line interfaces, SPI Flash memory, microSD storage, and a BLE module. Special attention was given to automotive constraints such as EMI reduction, differential pair routing for CAN, proper grounding strategy, and robust input protection (TVS, fuse, reverse polarity). The main challenge was ensuring signal integrity and reliability in a noisy automotive environment. This was addressed through careful component selection, optimized routing, and strict layout rules. The final result is a clean, professional, and production-ready PCB suitable for industrial applications.
