SMART HYDRO GENERATOR – Micro-Hydropower Energy Recovery System for Building Water Supply
This project is a SolidWorks 3D assembly designed to recover a portion of the hydraulic energy available from water flowing through a building water-supply system.
The system consists of an overhead water tank, water supply piping, flow control arrangement, micro-turbine, shaft and gear mechanism, generator, electrical components, and supporting structures.
The basic working concept is:
Overhead Tank → Water Flow → Micro Turbine → Mechanical Rotation → Generator → Electrical Power
The turbine converts the energy of flowing water into mechanical rotation, which can be used to drive a generator and produce electrical energy for low-power applications.
This model was designed in SOLIDWORKS as part of an engineering project. The CAD assembly is intended for educational, conceptual, and design-development purposes.
