⚙️ Scissor Lift Design
Purpose:
To raise or lower loads vertically using a crisscross (“X”) support structure that extends when force is applied.
Working Principle:
The lift operates on the mechanical linkage principle. When the actuator (usually a hydraulic cylinder, lead screw, or rack-and-pinion drive) extends, it pushes the linked arms apart.
This causes the platform to rise vertically.
When the actuator retracts, the arms fold back, and the platform lowers smoothly.
The load remains balanced because motion occurs symmetrically through the linkage geometry.
