Roll Lifting Device

DESIGN DETAILS: This project required a detailed analysis of the total lifting capacity of an old cable roll lift. In order to effectively complete the review we completed detailed analysis of all of the mechanical loads applied to the lift during operation. After obtaining a detailed understanding of the reactionary loads on the system we modeled the current lifting device in CAD and performed an FEA analysis on all critical lifting components. Once all the analysis was completed we determine the appropriate load rating for the system and complete regulatory welding inspections and applied the load rating to the system.
