Roll Forming Line with Motorized Uncoiler | Mechanical Design & Manufacturing Drawings

Mechanical design and manufacturing documentation for a complete roll forming line with motorized uncoiler, strip guiding system, forming stations and mechanical drive system. My scope included the machine layout, 3D mechanical design in SolidWorks, assemblies, welded structures, shafts, bearing housings, machined components, guide mechanisms, transmission components, manufacturing drawings, BOMs and technical support for fabrication, machining, assembly and testing. The forming roll geometry and roll-pass progression were based on an existing proven roll set already owned by the company and were not originally developed by me. My work included integrating the existing roll concept into the new machine, detailing components for manufacturing and supporting the production of the roll set, including machining and heat treatment. The project was developed with practical manufacturing, assembly, adjustment, maintenance and shop-floor requirements in mind.
