Robot Chassis Prototype | CAD Design & Fabrication
I completed the mechanical design and manufacturing of a single robot prototype, taking the project from CAD assembly to a physical build.
My work covered the chassis, wheel and suspension assemblies, gimbal mounting plates, frame members, and bearing housings. The portfolio includes overall assembly views, wheel-module details, selected aluminum components, and photographs of the completed prototype.
For the wheel assemblies, I used locknuts and threadlocker to address fastener loosening during operation. The surrounding assemblies incorporated bushings, dampers, washers, and thrust bearings. After operating the prototype, I inspected the wheel fasteners and found them secure.
This project demonstrates my experience in mechanical assembly design, component detailing, prototype manufacturing, and practical assembly checks.
