Reverse Engineering and Functional Vehicle Integration
DESCRIPTION
Reverse engineering and redesign of a small automotive interface component based on the existing part and installation geometry.
The work included inspection of the original component, identification of the functional interfaces, CAD reconstruction, design adaptation and physical installation. The replacement geometry was developed to fit the available space and interact correctly with the original vehicle hardware.
This project demonstrates part-to-CAD modelling, interface-based design and validation through physical installation.

DELIVERABLES
Recreated CAD geometry, STEP/STL files and installed prototype
OUTCOME
Component manufactured and installed successfully in the vehicle.
