Project Sentinel | Custom Quadcopter UAV – 3D CAD Assembly & Mechanical Design
**Project Sentinel – Custom Quadcopter UAV Design**
Project Sentinel is an independently developed quadcopter UAV engineering project focused on mechanical design, electronic system integration, and autonomous flight control development.
This CAD assembly illustrates the mechanical architecture of a custom quadcopter, including the central frame, motor mounting configurations, propeller arrangement, and structural layout.
**Key Design Features:**
- Custom quadcopter frame and structural assembly
- Four-motor brushless propulsion configuration
- Mechanical component modeling and assembly integration
- Design considerations for structural rigidity, weight distribution, and component accessibility
- Integration planning for flight-control electronics, sensors, and power distribution
- CAD-based design development and iterative prototyping
**Engineering Objectives:**
The objective of Project Sentinel is to develop a functional UAV platform while gaining hands-on experience in mechanical design, embedded electronics, control systems, and propulsion technology.
The project incorporates independently developed flight-control software and ongoing research into custom brushless motor design and electronic speed controllers.
**Software:** SOLIDWORKS
**Project Type:** Independent Engineering Research & Development
**Status:** Prototype Development
This project demonstrates my experience in 3D mechanical modeling, assembly design, multidisciplinary engineering integration, and translating engineering concepts into physical prototypes.
