Printer Door Sensor Repair

A plastic actuator responsible for detecting the closed position of a production printer door was damaged after part of it broke off. Instead of recreating and printing the entire component, I designed a small extension that restored the missing geometry while preserving the original part. Using basic measurements, the extension was modeled, 3D printed, and bonded to the existing component. This solution restored functionality quickly, minimized machine downtime, and avoided unnecessary replacement of the complete part.
