planetary gear train

This is a 3D model of planetary gear train. Components: Ring gear - 75 teeth Sun gear - 15 teeth Planet gears - 30 teeth Arm or Carrier connected to output shaft Input shaft Function: All three planet gears are meshed with ring gear internally which is grounded or fixed and the sun gear is meshed with planet gears externally. Planets rotate about their respective axial shafts which is rigidly connected to carrier and planets also revolve about central axis when whole arm is rotated. Practically gear shifting is very convinient and smooth in this train and is used for high critical applications like in military vehicles, trtactors , etc.
