This project represents the drafting and detailing of a steel structure shed with block wall support and mild steel (MS) sheet roofing. The structure is designed with a clear span of 49’-8” divided into two equal bays of 24’-10”. The height from ground level to roof is 16’-10”, including a 12’-0” block wall and 7’-6” clear opening supported by steel members.
Structural Components:
Columns (C1): Steel columns detailed with base plates (1’-4” x 1’-0”) anchored using bolts, ensuring stability and load transfer to the foundation.
Beams (UB1): Universal beams (6” x 9”) placed at roof level to support the MS sheet roofing system.
Tubular Beams (TB1): Square hollow sections (2.5” x 2.5”) used as secondary members for roofing support.
Roofing: Covered with MS sheets fixed on steel members, sloped for proper drainage.
Walling: Block masonry up to 12’-0” height, providing lateral support to the steel frame.
Details Prepared:
Sectional elevation showing overall dimensions and heights.
Base plate connection details with bolt arrangement.
Beam and tube cross-sectional details for fabrication.
