Motorized Date Palm Climbing Machine

Overview: Designed, analyzed, and manufactured an innovative motorized date palm climbing machine from scratch. Covers the full product development lifecycle: 3D CAD modeling, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), stress validation, physical fabrication, and dynamic troubleshooting. Key Highlights: • 3D CAD Design: Modeled custom chassis, drive system, and ergonomic seat structure. • FEA & Stress Analysis: Executed static analysis under extreme combined loads (User: 800 N, Engine: 50 N). Verified Factor of Safety (FOS 1.5) and max deflection (7.1 mm). • Fabrication & Testing: Built the physical prototype, tested friction-wheel drive, and resolved real-world keyway/shaft wear issues. • Engineering Optimization: Proposed frame structural upgrades (square hollow sections) to maximize moment resistance and safety.
