Motor Bracket | SOLIDWORKS Vibration Comparison
Compared baseline and ribbed 6061-T6 NEMA 23 motor brackets in SOLIDWORKS across modal, harmonic, shock, random-vibration and fatigue-screening cases. Two integral ribs increased the first natural frequency from 152.90 to 239.75 Hz, reduced peak stress under the assumed 5 g shock by 41.1%, and reduced random-vibration RMS displacement by 48.4%. Deliverables include CAD revisions, native result plots, design comparisons and the technical report. Results use idealized supports, a simplified motor mass and assumed damping. Fatigue screening is interpreted within the supplied S-N data range; joint correlation and physical qualification form separate validation stages.
Technical report attached.
