Modular Transforming Desk — Adjustable & Tool-Free Plywood Design

Engineering design of a modular transforming desk made entirely from 18 mm plywood. The desk was developed with an adjustable tabletop height for both sitting and standing positions and a modular system allowing the workspace to be expanded with additional shelves and accessories. The entire structure assembles without screws or metal fasteners, using tongue-and-groove joints and wooden locking elements. Transforming Table.pdf The design includes multiple interchangeable modules: side shelves, hooks, reinforced equipment shelves, an under-desk shelf and a corner extension that allows the desk to be configured as an L-shaped workstation. Transforming Table.pdf The construction was designed for CNC manufacturing, quick tool-free assembly and repeated reconfiguration. A full-size prototype was produced and tested in actual use.
