Flat Belt Conveyor with Skid Support – Custom Design This flat belt conveyor was designed for heavy-duty material handling, focusing on both performance and manufacturability. The system features a drive roller and tension roller, each with a diameter of 101.6 mm, and standard support rollers with a 50.8 mm diameter. A central feature of this design is the flat perforated skid, positioned at the same level as the rollers. The holes reduce static electricity caused by friction between the belt and the skid, improving safety and reliability. According to Habasit engineering guidelines, the drive roller is raised 3 mm above the support rollers to ensure better belt grip and alignment. The conveyor stands on height-adjustable sheet metal legs equipped with levelling feet to ensure stability even on inclined or uneven floors.
