Islamic Villa | Residence for a Photographer

This project explores the design of a contemporary residence for a talented photographer, where architecture becomes an extension of his creative identity and everyday life. The design is inspired by Islamic architectural principles such as the courtyard, geometric proportions, privacy, filtered light, and layered spatial transitions, reinterpreted through a contemporary architectural language. As the resident is a photographer and artist, the spaces are designed to celebrate light, shadow, and changing visual frames throughout the day, allowing the architecture itself to become part of the creative process The project seeks to balance Islamic architectural identity with contemporary expression, creating a residence that is private, experiential, and deeply connected to its occupant’s identity.
