Industrial 3-Axis CNC Retrofit

I developed the retrofit project for a three-axis industrial CNC panel saw, replacing obsolete electronics and controls with a maintainable, scalable architecture while retaining the existing mechanics. I performed electrical and functional diagnosis, signal surveying and input/output definition. I documented operating sequences, HOME references, limit switches, safety interlocks, alarms and motor-control requirements. I designed integration between the PLC/CNC controller, HMI, drives and industrial I/O, considering Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP communications over TCP/IP networks to exchange parameters and equipment status. The architecture includes operational-data acquisition, fault diagnosis and drive parameterization. I defined signals and data for supervision and maintenance, preparing future integration with dashboards and external systems. The project combines machinery knowledge, electrical interfaces, industrial protocols and diagnostic information. Its goal is to recover productive capacity and establish a documented control platform for maintenance and future expansion. Portfolio date: October 2025.
