High-Temperature Extrusion System — Academic Project in Progress
DESCRIPTION
Ongoing mechanical engineering project focused on a modular direct-drive extrusion system for high-temperature polymers.
The work covers mechanical integration, quick-change architecture, compact packaging, thermal-management concepts and iterative prototyping. The assembly combines a geared drive, mounting structure, heat-break interface, heater block and a gyroid heat-sink concept.
Development has included parametric CAD, assembly modelling, interface definition, exploded views, additive-manufacturing studies and multiple physical mock-ups used to evaluate access, fit and integration constraints.
TOOLS
SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, OpenSCAD, FDM 3D printing
DELIVERABLES
Parametric assembly, STEP/STL files, exploded views and physical prototypes
STATUS
Academic project in progress. Images show design development and prototype iterations, not a finished commercial product.
