Harmonic Drive Test Apparatus

Harmonic drive test apparatus Design and Analysis is composed of a motor actuator, a harmonic drive gear, and an inertial load. A test apparatus was designed to perform various types of experiments on the harmonic drive and to characterize the different errors inherent in its operation while preventing any external error. It has its major axis of motion in the vertical plane to avoid the radial loading problem. Design of vertical support plates and square cross sections with a highly stable platform was also used to maintain torsional integrity of the system.
