Grinding mechanism

Designed as a mechanism to automatically grind up a certain substance. The substance is loaded in the machine and a plate driven with constant-force springs presses the material onto two separate grinding mechanisms. This design utilized custom designed cutting wheels, a dc gear motor, spur gears, and bushings. During the prototyping the parts were 3D printed for quick turn around and low cost (plastics and stainless-steel alloy) and once the design is finalized the final product will be conventionally machined.
