Forza

Traditional chef's knives exert uneven pressure on the hand and can cause an un-ergonomic bend at the wrist and/or elbow. For more control and/or force, users typically place either their forefinger, thumb or other hand on the top edge of the blade. Professionals use a pinch grip for precision using the tip of the blade. Forza's unique handle improves the comfort, ergonomics and functionality over typical chefs’ knives. Being above the rear of the blade, the handle provides a leveraging action similar to placing ones forefinger on the top edge of the blade. The cant and extra girth allows for a power grip with pressure spread evenly across the palm and straightens the wrist. The arched base of the handle allows the knife to be used in two ways. By placing Forza's handle on the cutting surface it can be rocked forward for cutting, chopping and dicing or it can also be slid forward to slice. The leveraging characteristics of the handle are further increased when using these methods and the flat base ensures steady operation. Forza can also be held with traditional grips. The gourmet users, can hold it in a more comfortable version of the classic pinch grip. These features combine to offer a more comfortable less fatiguing grip, more control and increased leverage, maximizing downward force, while maintaining a more ergonomic wrist and elbow position. Forza is made entirely of zirconium oxide ceramic allowing a flowing aesthetic. Although more brittle than steel, ceramic will hold a sharper edge far longer, up to five years.
