Formula racing car

The mechanical design and manufacture of a Formula Student drivetrain. The project's main goal was to optimize gear ratios in the gearbox in order to provide maximum power and torque to the rear wheels while keeping the gears small in volume to fit the existing gearbox, minimizing the number of shifts between gears and synchronizing time. The second goal was the optimization and analysis of different parts in order to reduce weight while maintaining the necessary structural strength and prevent failure. Another mechanism that was designed by me is the differential mounts with a chain tension mechanism that allowed for tension fine-tuning without disassembling any part.
