FEA Static Analysis | Steel Mezzanine Platform | SolidWorks Simulation
Performed static structural FEA on an industrial steel mezzanine access platform using SolidWorks Simulation beam element formulation. Applied fixed boundary conditions at all base plate locations and distributed loading across the platform deck with gravitational self-weight. Material: ASTM A36 (yield strength 250 MPa). Results: max axial stress 15.55 MPa (6.2% of yield), max displacement 30.99 mm at deck midspan, primary structural members achieved FOS ≥ 3.0. Delivered full 13-page engineering report including stress, displacement and factor of safety plots.
