Disc Brake Thermal-Structural Analysis (SOLIDWORKS + ANSYS)

Vented disc brake with caliper and pads modeled in SOLIDWORKS, then a coupled Transient Thermal - Static Structural analysis in ANSYS 2024 R2 over a full braking cycle. Results: max von-Mises stress on the disc 180.75 MPa vs 250 MPa yield (gray cast iron), minimum safety factor 1.20, max deformation 0.55 mm, contact pressure 6.37 MPa. Includes material assignment, meshing, heat flux and convection loads, supports, and a full results report.
