Development and Performance Evaluation of LED-Based Modified Atmosphere Storage System for Tomato

Designed and fabricated an LED-based Modified Atmosphere Storage System for tomato preservation as an engineering project aimed at improving postharvest storage conditions and extending tomato shelf life. The project involved developing the system concept, preparing the CAD design and technical drawings, fabricating the metal cabinet, and integrating the required components into a functional storage system. The cabinet was designed with a dedicated storage chamber, access door, lower service compartment, and electrical component housing. The design was developed with consideration for practical fabrication, component arrangement, accessibility, and system operation. The completed prototype demonstrates the integration of CAD design, agricultural engineering, mechanical fabrication, electrical systems, and postharvest technology into a functional engineering solution.
