CRYPTO MINER FAN DUCT SHROUD COOLING ADAPTER AND COVER

A crypto mining farm operator in Lagos reached out after se eing my work on social media. He had existing 3D models for a fan shroud and front cover but when we reviewed the dimensions they were too small for his machines. I redesigned both parts completely from scratch. The shroud operates under 850 CFM airflow and sustained temperatures around 75°C, which ruled out PLA immediately. PETG was selected for its heat resistance and structural stability under continuous thermal and mechanical load. The cover sat away from the heat source so PLA was used there to reduce cost and print time without compromising performance. The shroud profile was redesigned from rounded to straight with aerodynamic transition to reduce turbulence and a lip detail added to distribute clamping force evenly around the circumference rather than concentrating stress at a single point. Prototypes fit perfectly on the first test. 22 parts were printed and fulfilled in two weeks.
