Concept-to-CAD Three-Stone Ring Design | Jewelry CAD, 3D Modeling & Photorealistic Rendering
I developed this custom three-stone ring design through the full jewelry development process, moving from an initial hand-drawn concept into a precise 3D jewelry CAD model, then into a presentation-ready rendered design.
This project demonstrates the part of jewelry CAD I particularly enjoy: taking something that begins as an idea on paper and translating it into geometry that preserves the original character while becoming practical for prototyping and manufacturing.
The ring features a prominent oval center stone with two complementary side stones, individually developed prong settings, a tapered shank, elevated stone architecture, and a clean luxury finish. I paid close attention to gemstone proportions, setting height, prong positioning, stone clearance, symmetry, band transitions, structural support, surface continuity, and wearability.

The model can be developed for resin or wax 3D printing, lost-wax casting, investment casting, gemstone setting, jewelry manufacturing, prototype production, and client presentation.
What makes this project different from a rendering-only piece is the complete concept → CAD → visualization workflow. I am not simply recreating the appearance of a ring; I am developing the structure behind it so the design can continue into a real production process.
