Complete Mechanical Design of an Industrial Workstation: From 3D CAD Modeling to Manufacturing Drawings

This is an ongoing project focused on the complete mechanical development of an industrial workstation, covering every stage from the initial concept to manufacturing-ready documentation. The current scope includes the design of the overall workstation layout, development of detailed 3D CAD models, assembly design, component integration, and the creation of manufacturing drawings for fabrication and assembly. Throughout the design process, special attention has been given to functionality, manufacturability, ease of assembly, and compliance with engineering drafting standards. The workstation is being developed as a practical solution for industrial applications, integrating structural components, standard hardware, and custom-designed parts into a robust and efficient assembly. Every component is modeled with manufacturing in mind, ensuring accurate fits, appropriate tolerances, and clear documentation for production. Although the project is still in progress, it has already strengthened my expertise in mechanical design, large assembly management, manufacturing documentation, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and CAD best practices. The remaining work focuses on refining the design, validating the final assembly, and completing the manufacturing documentation.
