CFD Analysis of Airfoil Aerodynamics Lift & Drag in ANSYS Fluent
Performed CFD analysis of an airfoil in ANSYS Fluent to evaluate lift and drag characteristics across multiple angles of attack, including 0° and 5° cases. Generated a structured C-mesh around the airfoil with boundary layer refinement near the surface to accurately resolve pressure gradients and viscous effects. Extracted absolute pressure contours showing stagnation and low-pressure regions, and monitored lift and drag coefficient convergence over iterations to confirm solution stability before extracting final aerodynamic coefficients.
