Cast Iron Transfer Die

This project features the complete structural design of a heavy-duty cast iron robotic transfer stamping die, developed entirely in UG NX for automotive sheet metal manufacturing. Built with a high-rigidity cast iron die base and frame, the die structure delivers superior vibration damping performance, long-term dimensional accuracy and extended service life, making it ideal for continuous high-volume production on tandem press lines. The integrated robotic transfer system ensures precise, repeatable part handling between stations, consolidating drawing, trimming, piercing and sizing operations into a fully automated production flow. The full 3D design workflow includes detailed component modeling, virtual assembly, full interference checking, press compatibility verification and motion simulation. All guiding systems, standard components and wear parts follow universal industry standards, supporting easy on-site assembly, maintenance and replacement. Engineered for medium to large tonnage stamping presses, the design balances production efficiency, part quality consistency and tooling durability, meeting the stringent requirements of automotive and industrial sheet metal stamping applications.
