Car Sun Visor, LH & RH Injection Mold Design

This project features a plastic car sun visor, technically referred to as a vanity, designed in Left-Hand (LH) and Right-Hand (RH) configurations. Both parts are engineered to precisely fit and assemble together to form the complete visor assembly. The mold design has been developed using CATIA with a focus on compactness, efficiency, and manufacturability. Key highlights of the mold include: 2 Lifters for the core side to handle undercuts and ensure smooth part ejection. Optimized cooling layout to maintain consistent cycle times and dimensional accuracy. Color Coding on Mold Surfaces to clearly indicate different tolerance zones and facilitate smoother manufacturing and inspection processes. Designed with space-saving in mind, achieving a compact mold layout without compromising functionality. All standard mold components and manufacturing considerations have been integrated to make the tool production-ready.
