This project involves the mechanical design and comprehensive 3D modeling of a complete railway axle assembly (train or tramway) featuring an integrated speed reduction gearbox. The primary challenge was to dimension and model a safety-critical structural component subjected to extreme cyclic loading (fatigue), while ensuring reliable torque transmission, streamlined maintenance, and strict compliance with rigorous railway standards (such as EN 13103 / EN 13104).
