Project Snapshot
• Project type: Commercial development
• Location: United Kingdom
• Client type: Consultant
• Project phase: Design + Construction
• BIM services: Multidisciplinary BIM coordination, 4D-ready models, drawing production
• Disciplines: Architecture, Structure, MEPF
• Software: Revit, Navisworks, ACC
The Challenge
• The project was required to comply with UK ISO 19650 information management standards
• Multiple design packages were progressing in parallel, increasing coordination complexity
• The client needed faster coordination and sign-off cycles without compromising information quality
• There was a requirement for BIM models that could support both coordination and sequencing
Our BIM Approach
• We established ISO 19650-aligned workflows, including MIDP and TIDP, to manage information delivery across disciplines
• All models were federated into a single coordination environment and developed to LOD 300–350
• Coordination reviews were carried out on a bi-weekly federation cycle, supported by defined clash-avoidance rules
• Coordinated sections and 4D-ready model views were produced to support sequencing and stakeholder reviews
• Information quality and consistency were maintained to support efficient approvals and downstream use
Results & Impact
• Coordination cycles were accelerated by approximately 15–20%
• Faster design approvals and sign-off were achieved through clearer, more reliable BIM outputs
• Reduced design friction between disciplines and packages
• Improved confidence in model-based coordination across the project team
Value Delivered
• Acted as a UK-compliant BIM delivery partner, ensuring adherence to ISO 19650 requirements
• Reduced programme risk through structured information management and coordination
• Supported smoother transition from design into construction
• Demonstrated proven capability in delivering regulated BIM environments for UK commercial projects
