# Compact Bench Vice Assembly
A high-precision 3D mechanical assembly of a standard Bench Vice, designed and assembled in SOLIDWORKS. This project features accurate component mating, simulating realistic linear motion of the jaws via a lead screw mechanism.
1. Technical Features
- High Fidelity: 100% solid-body geometry, optimized for 2D drafting, BOM extraction, and manufacturing.
- Realistic Kinematics: Full mechanical constraints showcasing accurate power transmission from the screw bar to the movable jaw.
2. Component Breakdown (BOM)
The assembly includes 10 individually modeled parts:
- Part No.1: Base – Main structural body.
- part No.2: Vice Jaw – Sliding movable keeping jaw.
- Part No.3: Base Plate – Workbench mounting plate.
- Part No.4: Jaw Screw – Main power lead screw.
- Part No.5: Bar Globes – Handle bar end caps.
- Part No.6: Screw Bar – Rotational handle rod.
- Part No.7: Clamping Plate – High-friction jaw inserts.
- Part No.8: Oval Fillister – Jaw insert retaining screws.
- Part No.9 & No.10: Set Screw 1 & 2 – Axial alignment and lock screws.
3. Applications
- Industrial work-holding fixture modeling.
- Educational reference for mechanical kinematics and assembly training.
