Assembly Fixture - Locating Pins & Swing-Away Clamps

An independent mechanical CAD study of an assembly fixture for locating and clamping a bracket and mating plate during fastening. The concept uses support rests, round and relieved locating pins, and swing-away screw clamps. Replaceable locating elements and separate components make the assembly structure easy to inspect and revise. Developed in FreeCAD with editable PartDesign geometry, master parameters and assembly joints. Project documentation includes assembly and baseplate drawings, a bill of materials, STEP exports and prototype STL files. The images show the assembled fixture, component breakdown and a section through the locating interface. Design status: digitally checked CAD concept. Physical repeatability, clamp-force retention, wear and final production tolerances require prototype testing.
