ANSYS Modal & Buckling Study of a Motor Cover
Academic project · Supplied motor-cover geometry
Problem
Study the dynamic behavior and eigenvalue buckling response of a thin-walled motor-cover model.
What I did
Worked with an ANSYS Workbench model using shell elements, material properties, and support conditions. Completed modal, static structural, and linked eigenvalue buckling analyses as an educational exercise.
Tools used
ANSYS Workbench / Mechanical, finite-element analysis, SHELL181.
Result
The saved solver output contains six natural frequencies, approximately 544.5–1391.7 Hz, and two buckling load multipliers, approximately 1.0095 and 7.9576. The illustration combines an undeformed mesh view reconstructed from the saved solver input with these results. These values belong to this model and its boundary conditions; the case presents academic analysis experience.
