Aircraft Design & Manufacturing Process Optimization

Aircraft development and manufacturing engineering project focused on the K-10 Swift aircraft. My work included mechanical design, redesign and optimization of aircraft components and assemblies, development of manufacturing tooling, jigs and fixtures, and improvement of production processes. Redesigned and improved approximately 60–70% of components and assemblies, contributing to a 35% increase in production speed and a 20% reduction in manufacturing cost. Designed 50+ manufacturing tools, jigs and fixtures and developed improved processes for composites, welding, riveting, assembly and finishing.
