Advanced Jewelry CAD Design Collection

This portfolio project showcases three original jewelry designs developed using Rhino 3D, highlighting different aspects of professional jewelry CAD modeling, stone setting integration, structural design, and manufacturing feasibility. Industry Applications Fine Jewelry Luxury Jewelry Custom Jewelry Design High-End Manufacturing Lost-Wax Casting Production Gemstone Jewelry Development Design Overview The collection explores three distinct design approaches: Sapphire Halo Ring A luxury statement ring featuring a central oval sapphire surrounded by a multi-row diamond halo. The design combines strong geometric proportions with refined pavé stone setting techniques, creating a balanced piece optimized for both aesthetics and wearability. Organic Nest Ring An artistic ring inspired by natural forms and organic structures. Interwoven metal elements create a protective nest-like composition around the central gemstone, emphasizing movement, depth, and visual complexity while maintaining manufacturing feasibility. Parametric Sculptural Ring A contemporary design based on complex geometric surfaces and lattice structures. The piece explores advanced CAD modeling techniques to create a lightweight yet visually striking form that would be difficult to achieve through traditional hand fabrication alone. Key Design Features Fully developed in Rhino 3D Production-oriented CAD modeling Stone setting integration Optimized wall thicknesses and structural integrity Designed for lost-wax casting workflows Consideration of polishing accessibility and finishing requirements Balanced weight distribution and wearability High-detail surface modeling and decorative elements CAD Software Utilized Rhinoceros 3D (Rhino) KeyShot for rendering and presentation Manufacturing Considerations Each design was developed with real-world jewelry production in mind. Particular attention was given to casting feasibility, gemstone setting requirements, metal flow, structural durability, and post-casting finishing operations. The models demonstrate the integration of artistic design with practical manufacturing constraints, ensuring that the concepts can move efficiently from digital development to physical production. Project Purpose This collection was created to demonstrate versatility across different jewelry design styles, ranging from classic fine jewelry and gemstone-centered pieces to contemporary sculptural forms. The project reflects both traditional jewelry knowledge and advanced digital modeling capabilities developed through professional experience in jewelry design and manufacturing.
