Adjustable Racing Simulator Pedals
I designed, manufactured and integrated an adjustable pedal system for racing simulators, adapting the driving position to users of different heights through a motorized linear-motion mechanism.
The project included mechanical CAD design, integration of linear guides, a leadscrew, motor and structural supports, and development of the control system.
Pedal position could be adjusted through two operating interfaces: a local pushbutton panel installed in the simulator and an RF remote control, allowing straightforward forward and backward movement.
Limit sensors stop motion automatically at the mechanical travel limits to protect the mechanism and prevent movement beyond the permitted range.
Development covered design, fabrication, assembly, electrical integration, functional testing and final installation. The resulting robust, functional system was used in racing simulators for events and exhibitions.
