The project requires a design, analysis and manufacturing of a 8mx1.2mx5.2m high rectangular bill board for usage in an an area of frequent sandstorms and turbulent wind of as high as 40km/hr and temperature of 40 degrees. The design should put into consideration the harsh temperature an weather of the region close to the sahara desert and be able to serve the client for a longer period of time, as many of such structures have failed unexpectedly ROLE: Design engineer TOOLS USED: i.Solidworks for modelling ii. Ansys for Static Analysis and material optimization. iii. Excel for BOQ iii. Solid works for shop drawing and fabrication drawing. iv. Libelula plasma cutting software for sheet metals. RESULTS
